We believe students learn best in a
supportive, encouraging environment that places a high value on
learning. One of the main concerns is a student's ability to organize
materials and study for tests. With a parent's help, the transition from
third to fifth grade is much easier. We encourage you to be an active
part of your child's fourth grade year.
We are committed to the development of
the whole child in academic, emotional, ethical, creative, physical,
and social dimensions. We encourage each child to strive toward these
goals in a manner appropriate to his or her ability.
Every
student has the potential to earn Citizenship with good behavior and
good work ethics. At the end of each grading period, students who
achieve this worthy goal are rewarded with a Citizenship party.
For academic excellence, we offer
Distinguished Honor Roll, A Honor Roll, and B Honor Roll. Honor Roll is
based on core academic areas. Distinguished = all A's, A Honor Roll =
3.5 and above, and B Honor Roll = 3.0 - 3.49.
Our Grading Scale is as follows:
-
90 - 100 A
-
80 - 89 B
-
70 - 79 C
-
60 - 69 D
We are available during our Plan
Period (9:45am-10:25am) to address any concerns you may have about your
child's progress. You may schedule an appointment by calling the school
office at 477-5345 or emailing us.
We look forward to an enjoyable year filled with learning opportunities.
